While most projections are done on building walls and have a tendency to fall into that "let’s do something wild to show off", relying all too heavily and obviously on cheesy CG effects, this video nicely shows what you can do with a little more restraint and a a different way of interpretation. Calibrating the projectors (and keeping them calibrated for a few days) must have been quite a challenge, though. When we do tradeshow support, there’s always something with alignment or color consitency whacking out even on our flat projections… and yeah, the piece is very reminiscent of Tron in some areas. Shows how influential this movie actually was.
